Day 1: Khao Takiab Beach

Khao Takiab Beach offers vast, soft sands ideal for building sand castles and playing ball games, and a shallow, gentle surf, perfect for the younger members of the family to work on their swimming skills. Keep an eye out for vendors along the beach offering horseback rides, too.

At the southern end of the beach on the hill called Turtle Mountain, is a temple called Wat Tham Khao Tao. As you walk up the pathway toward the top of the hill, you see lots of colorful and whimsical statues and shrines.

To reach Khao Takiab Beach from central Hua Hin, just head south on Route 4 until you see Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin on the right. Khao Takiab Beach is just across the street.

Baan Sillapin (Hua Hin Artist’s Village)

The city's art scene is one of the attractions that helped put Hua Hin on the map, and Baan Sillapin is the original art center. The artist's village includes several large galleries displaying contemporary art as well as antiques, private artist studios, a coffee and gift shop, and numerous classrooms for the popular painting and sculpture classes. Have fun wandering around the artist’s village and viewing all the art on display. Perhaps you’ll decide to sign up for art classes on a future visit to Hua Hin! 

To reach Baan Sillapin from Khao Takiab Beach, head north back up Route 4 until you see the Hua Hin Night Market on your left. Continue on until you see Hua Hin 70 Road, where you’ll turn left. Follow this road until you see Route 3218 off to the right. Take Route 3218 and continue bearing left until you see the signs for Baan Sillapin on the right.

Our next destination is one we passed back at the junction of Phet Kasem Road (the main road through Hua Hin) and Hua Hin 72 Road. Hua Hin Night Market is our last destination for the day. It’s also an excellent place to have dinner and check out the many stalls and kiosks offering everything from mouth-watering seafood to clothing, handcrafts and electronics.

Browse the many stalls and their colorful items while sampling fresh seafood. It’s the perfect way to end a day of family fun. But be sure to get the kids to bed early because tomorrow will be full of thrilling rides and hours of fun!

Day 2: Vana Nava Water Jungle

Your kids won’t believe their eyes when they see the size and variety of thrilling rides at Vana Nava Water Jungle, one of the most popular water parks in Thailand.

From the child-friendly Rainfortress with its seven slides that gently splash down into a large and shallow pool to the Abyss, the largest water park slide in Thailand, this Hua Hin water park has enough thrills, rides, slides and attractions to keep your kids busy for the entire day.
