Hua Hin, Thailand: Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin has signed a lease agreement with the State Railway of Thailand to construct a pathway connecting the hotel to Nong Kae Train Station, which is expected to be completed by October 2024. This new pathway aims to facilitate guests, tourists, and users in accessing local attractions like Khao Takiab Beach and Cicada Market, which are only 700 meters away or approximately 10 minutes on foot. The goal is to increase the use of railway services, reflecting the potential of Thailand's public transportation to stimulate year-round travel and generate continuous and sustainable revenue for the Thai tourism industry.
Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director of the Proud Group, stated that Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin is committed to advancing the domestic tourism market. The hotel has entered into an agreement with the State Railway of Thailand to build a pathway between the hotel and Nong Kae Train Station. This connection will make it easier for guests to reach local attractions, significantly reducing travel time compared to taking regular roads.
"This construction project is part of our infrastructure development initiative to enhance convenience for guests and tourists traveling to nearby attractions such as Khao Takiab Beach, Cicada Market, Nong Kae Temple, and the Khao Takiab Village. Besides improving the hotel's excellent service, it will also provide indirect benefits by distributing income to the local community and offer more travel options, allowing travelers to use the Southern Railway to reach Nong Kae Train Station and then walk to the hotel.
Mr. Thomas Hain, General Manager of Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin, added, "The hotel will provide a shuttle buggy service between the hotel and Nong Kae Train Station to shorten travel time and enhance convenience for visiting various attractions. Additionally, we plan to offer special accommodation packages that include both railway services and room rates to further elevate the Hua Hin travel experience in the near future."
The pathway between Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin and Nong Kae Train Station is already under construction and expected to be completed and open by October 2024. Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop concluded by highlighting “This achievement also demonstrates the potential of Thailand's public transportation system, especially the distinctive and charming Thai railway. It has the capability to consistently promote tourism year-round and significantly boost and strengthen the Thai tourism economy”
